[mythtv-users] change xlmtvid in MythTV database to get correct lineup data...

I am located in Toronto using OTA ATSC with good success. My only
problem is Zap2It/Datadirect does not think that ATSC exists in Canada.
If I use a Canadian Postal code (even a zip code close to the
Ontario/NY border) I only get one channel available as digital in
Toronto (CityDT) but that maps to the wrong channel (53-1 when it should
be 57-1). I get all the Buffalo digital channels just fine.

So here are the ATSC channels without Zap2It data available in Toronto.
channum	callsign	freqid
1_1 OMNI 2/CJMT	44
5_1	CBLT-DT 20
9_1	CFTO-DT 45
25_1	CBLFT-D 24
57_1	CITYHD 53
66_1	SunTV 66

Looking at the "Channel channel info" page under settings in MythWeb, I
have discovered the xmltvid, channum and callsign database entries. For
the above channels there is no data in the xmltvid column.

Now, Zap2It does offer channel data for the analog equivalents of these
digital channels. I have determined the xmltvid for each of these
channels as such.

callsign	xmltvid
CBLT 10091
CBLFT 10090
CFTO 10108
CJMT 31558
City 34200
CKXT 34227

If I were to plug in these xmltvid numbers into the currently blank
xmltvid field (IE: Force MythTV to use the XMLTV data from another
channel) for the ATSC channels what would happen? Would this provide me
with the programming for these channels? (Assume that I have subscribed
to these analog channels at labs.zap2it.com.)

Does MythTV do other checks before doing this import, or does is simply
parse the zap2it XML data based on the xmltvid?

Are there any other tips on what I can do to get Zap2it programming for
these channels? BTW, several polite emails to Zap2it explaining this
situation have been ignored thus far, so I do not think that is an option.

I am asking before doing this as I want to make sure I do not blow
anything up by making this change.

Thanks in advance.
