[mythtv-users] LIRC+Myth+DirecTV D10 help

Does anyone have a configuration working that uses LIRC to blast signals
to a DirecTV D10 receiver either with or without the use of the DirecTV
remote included?  

I've had little success with a 2.6.18 kernel, LIRC 0.8.x, and the D10
receiver though i'm able to look at channels successfully in Myth
(though not able to change them).

I've found a config file that purports to have the right data for my D10
but my box comes out with the following when trying to use the codes in
the file:

Oct 11 08:48:04 ank lircd-0.8.0[28444]: "2155675648": must be a valid (lirc_t) number

I'd rather not go the usb-to-serial route if I can get some basic
channel changing working.
