What exactly do you want?  You have already stated:

"If dev time is the issue, then *if I provide a patch for such a
feature*, would you accept it?"
(emphasis mine)

Yet it seems like all you've been doing is to get irritated tell
people to "shut up" when they've offered solutions in the meantime.
