[mythtv-users] mythfrontend video playback on via at 848x480

I have a 7"LCD wide screen monitor with a natural resolution of 848x480.
I have a EPIA MII 1000 with a PVR-350 Ubunti Dapper and mythtv 0.20 and
it works fine (ignoreing the streached images) at 800x600.  I have just
configured X-Windows for 848x480 and everything works ... except that
the playback image is black and the sound is jumpy.  I have tried frame
buffer and no frame buffer.  Does anybody have any ideas.
