Nope, thats usually how it turns out. dvbscan will find all the
channels, even the encrypted and "music" ones. Sadly, cable companies
don't usually add the channel information so its a guessing game. One
way to do it quickly is with mplayer and a paper pad(I know, how old
school, I must be dating myself...). Though I believe SVN will let you
do the channel editing within mythfrontend, but I haven't used that
feature yet.

that's another guessing game. Most use HRC for QAM, but if that
doesn't work, then IRC will have to be tried.
