[mythtv-users] Internal not displaying interlaced content like mythfrontend does.

I've got an EPIA M10k driving an SD telly with S-video, X11 is using the
720x576nocale modeline, MythTV is version 0.20 from
www.debian-multimedia.org. The TV display from the frontend is very good, no
tearing and very sharp. When I play video using the Internal player it looks
the same until you hit pause and play. Then it often gets in a mode where
motion looks horrible. Instead of moving smoothly objects go
two-steps-forward-one-step-back. I can fix this by using Bob de-interlace but
that setting also affects the frontend TV display and occasionally gives
dropped frames since it's using 60% cpu instead of 30%.

Is there some way to only have de-interlace for MythVideo Internal? Better
still is there something in the TV display un-pausing that knows how to sync
up to the odd/even display?

Cheers,
Tim.
