I use an MVP and it seems very responsive.
0.19 broke live TV on the MVPs, don't know if that was ever fixed, or
how it might have changed with 0.20.
One other thing, at least when I set up my 0.19 system, was that the
MVP could only play MPEG-2 files, thus rendering my Plextor units
unusable, as Myth only supported mpeg-4 encoding with them.
The current MVPs claim to be able to play MPEG-4 files but I think
they do this by transcoding to MPEG-2 at the (Windows) server end on
the fly. This would explain the higher horsepower CPU requirements to
watch mpeg-4 with the included Windows software.
But as was said, why would I want to watch live TV anyway?, I'd have
to watch the commercials if I did :-)
