[mythtv-users] Converted MCE PC to MythTV - HDTV question

I only use HD on the HDTV wonder card. I don't even have a cable hooked
up to the SD connector. I guess I was unclear about the SD playback. I
am actually talking about SD playback from recordings recorded on a
different backend that has a PVR-250.

Sorry about the confusion...

According to the Mthtv wiki, you cannot get SD on the ATI HD Wonder!

http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/index.php/ATI_HDTV_Wonder

Could you update the wiki with your experience with this? I also have
this card and I have not installed it since my first try with knoppmyth
quite a while ago. I was going to sell it but I might use it in a new
box if the installation is not too painful and it records SD as well.

To answer your quesion, I don't know, but the wiki also describes your
problem without any explanation:

"Some have reported that the HDTV Wonder seems to stutter and glitch
slightly more than a side-by-side comparison to a pcHDTV 5500, while
others have seen it perform just as well compared to a pcHDTV 3000."
