[mythtv-users] MythTV can't (safely) record UK Channel five

I've found an oddity on a new MythTV box which I'm in the process of
setting up. It's been working apparently perfectly well for several
weeks, but then I discovered yesterday that the MythTV backend process
silently crashes each time I attempt to record anything from Channel five.

Looking back over the programs recorded already (it's filled 150G of
disc since I started it going) I found that this is the first time I've
attempted to record Channel five.

The symptoms are that it will start recording then after 10 to 15 mins
mythtv-backend silently exits. No log messages, no error messages,
nothing. What it's recorded so far of the program is perfect, but
obviously the recording ends (along with any others going on at the same
time) as soon as mythtv-backend crashes. As long as I don't record
anything from channel five it's 100% stable and has been running like
that for weeks.

Tuners are 2 DVB-T tuners, Compro DVB-T200. The underlying Linux
distribution is Debian Sarge, running kernel 2.6.17. The processors are
2 x 450MHz PIIs with 512MB of RAM. It copes very happily with 2
simultaneous DVB-T recordings with barely perceptible load. It's purely
used as a back end so playback isn't an issue.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on where I might start to look?

TIA,
John
