[mythtv-users] Fusion 5 Lite Operation

I'm wondering if anybody has some hints in getting a Fusion 5 Lite card
functioning in mythtv. The problem that I'm seeing is that when livetv
is attempted using the Fusion, the frontend menu flashes off and then
quickly returns. This precludes editing channels with the frontend
editor.

The card has been placed in a slave backend with cable input. Comcast is
the provider if that is important. They seem to have their own way of
doing lots of things, so just in case, I mention it here.

Video streams have been captured using the method described here:

number of channels have been identified by playing them back.

The channel & dtv_multiplex tables have been cleaned up after
preliminary setup from within mythtv-setup channel editor.

The most bothersome entry that can be found in the backend log (see
below) is the modulation being set to QPSK. Can someone confirm or deny
that this is the problem? If it is the problem, how can that be
adjusted? QPSK doesn't exist in the table. Is it a default fallback
setting?
