I had the same problem but I kinda of saw it as a feature to know when my
firewire had stopped working :) For what it is worth I ended up fixing the
problem by changing the order of cards in mythtv-setup. It would be nice if
it automatically saw a tuner wasn't working and tried the next tuner.
