This is purely subjective and dependent on the display, scaler, etc.

BTW, I am mostly discussing digital displays not CRT.  CRTs obviously
have different characteristics as pixels do not exist in CRT displays.
The aperature grille/mask ultimately decides what construes a "pixel".
