Dear all,
I am having exactly the same problem as described in the original
posting here:
http://mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-users/2006-March/130273.html

My setup is:
Dell Inspiron 8600
Gentoo Linux
Radeon 9600 Mobility w/ free X.org radeon driver
Kernel 2.6.14-nitro2

I have tried at least two versions of MythTV, with the same results - at
the moment, "mythfrontend --version" reports:

$ mythfrontend --version
Library API version: 0.19.20060121-2
Source code version: exported
Options compiled in:
 linux release using_v4l using_alsa using_jack using_ivtv using_dvb
using_dvb_eit using_x11 using_xv using_dvdnav using_xrandr
using_opengl_vsync using_frontend using_backend

I use a Freecom DVB-T card which as far as I know has no decoder
on-board. On my machine both Xine and Mplayer work perfectly, indeed, I
have been able to record a stream using MythTV and then play it back in
Xine. But playback through mythfrontend is always stoppyand.......goey.

Any help appreciated
Thanks,
gav.
