Likely the mythtv user does not have access to the HD-5000 hardware.
You can check to see which user and group has permissions. The group
may be called 'video' in which case you can add the mythtv user (or
the username you are running mythbackend as) to the 'video' group. If
the owner and group are root, you will need to amend the permissions
on the device so that the mythtv user has read access to the HD-5000
devices.
