Well it's nice to see somebody RTFMing :-)

The permissions on DVB device problem has been around for a while, I  
know there was something about it months ago on this list, but it is  
not really a MythTV problem so the Myth developers can't really solve  
it. I wish the kernel/udev/device developers were as quick to jump on  
problems as the Myth folks are.
