[mythtv-users] Hard drive died - Need to delete large numbers of recordings

Well, as it says, my hard drive died, and I need to delete the entries
in Mythtv for all the recordings which are now missing.  I'm not worried
about loosing the videos, there's nothing really important there anyway.
 But there is a large number of them.  I remember reading that the way
to do it involves finding out what times/dates the recordings started
and ended, recreating those files with touch, and then deleting again.

Since I really don't want to have to do this for all of my recordings,
is there a simpler way?  Deleting every recording is fine, if I can
empty some table via SQL
