[mythtv-users] Play divx movies from DVD disk

I just set up a sym link inb my videos dir to /dev/cdrom so that when
I go into MythVideo and browse it finds anything on the DVD or CD I've
inserted in the DVD drive.
What I did was write a simple program .. And set it up as the DVD player...

When I click play DVD from the menu (or jumppoint), the simple program will chk if it's a DVD movie or VCD , load xine... If it's a DVD with AVI/RM files, pop up a GUI to select files (crude playlist), then load xine.. etc..
