On the new computer you should check to see if your PV is in /dev.

If it isn't you should pvscan for it. That I think will fix your problem. I
did a similar thing but a little more complicated. I moved a lvm from Ubuntu
to Gentoo. I ran into two problems, I forgot to ext3extend the drive I
created so it was short 200gb (that really freaked me out). And the other
problem was that the device wasn't found by pvscan. If you go over to the
gentoo page they have a superb tutorial that will work for all distros as
long as you have LVM installed. So you should yum (install) lvm2. I've not
used yum in 3+ years since I switched to gentoo and ubuntu souly.
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/lvm2.xml
Thats the link that I use but its in about a million languages so change the
en to your language code if you are ESL (english seccond language). The only
caveot about that setup is that they change the filter
in<em>/etc/lvm/lvm.conf</em> and its really important that you don't
do that
if you have drives on hdc and hdd (which I beleive you said you had.) I hope
this helps,

Sincerely,
