   I only caught part of this thread, so with that caveat...

   You said that you tried a test image and that it did display on the TV, 
correct?  If so, that should indicate that your IVTV is set up correctly 
(a "dmesg | grep ivtv" can be helpful for this).

   I assume that you can run MythTV successfully on your computer monitor.  If 
not, to me that'd be the first goal before fiddling with X and TV output.

   I caught something about the 350's X output driver.  There's been changes 
with that.  Not only does IVTV have certain versions for certain Linux 
kernels, but there are two different X drivers for different versions of X.  
Are you sure you're using the right one?
