There are other reasons why a show wouldn't be recorded besides
conflights. The listing in the Upcoming Recordings screen will start
with a 1-character field that represents the reason, and if you
highlight a show it will give you a detailed reason below. Common ones
are "P" for "Previously recorded", "L" or "E" for later/earlier copies
in shedule, "X" for a deactivated listing, etc. I don't remember the
letter, but there's also one that kicks in when you've recorded the
maximum number of episodes specified in the recording limits and have
not enabled the "delete oldest" capability. In that one special case
the "Upcoming listings" will show all of the episodes as "Will Record"
until the limit is hit and then change them all at once (it's not smart
enough to show you the first 6 as "will record" and the others as "too
many recordings".
