I have this working.  There are a couple of things that need to be done:

Before you do the ./configure on MythTV, edit the configure file and set
ivtv to "no", and the dvb to "yes".  That gets rid of the blackbird!  If
your distribtuion is 2.6.16.or later then the 3000 driver is in the
package and all you need to do is put the firmware into /lib/firmware. 

Knoppmyth and other preconfigured distributions will probably have ivtv
set to yes and and dvb set to no which makes it very difficult to get
the pcHDTV card working.
