[mythtv-users] Mythphone

I finally set up Mythphone, after being too
lazy/busy/etc to do so until now, and I had a couple
of questions:

1 - The Quickcam 4000 snd-usb-audio microphone appears
to work based upon cat /dev/dsp1 > temp.wav than cat
temp.wav > /dev/dsp does indeed play the audio of me
saying "testing testing" but calling 613 doesn't seem
to produce any noticable echo, is this normal?

2 - I have 2 machines with mythphone, 192.168.0.249
and 192.168.0.238, both can call 613 and receive test
calls from fwd and both are going through the firewall
nat with port forwrding set up for 5060/21232/21234
and 5061/22232/22234 respectively, however, things are
very touch and go as to whether I'll get a
bidirectional video feed.

I'm using mythphone 0.19 from Gentoo unstable.

It seems that one machine, 249, can call 238 and get a
video response perhaps 60% of the time. In fact the
machine doing the calling seems about 60% likely to
get video. The machine doing the answering hardly
ever gets video. if anything the answering machine
may get a quich screenshot from the webcam, of the
side of my head as I get up to see the display in the
other room yet again :-)

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I have fine local video on each machine, although they
both have different webcams, quickcam 4000 and
express.

Interestingly I can sometimes prompt a screen refresh
by turning the lights on and off, wierd!
