I found that because i was doing this with non standard hardware it was next
to impossible for me to get mine going. Once i got some "more main stream"
hardware it all happened nicely.

The Wife Approval Factor (WAF) is a funny thing. I am having a problem with
the log files rolling over and killing the backend (known problem, waiting
for 0.19). but i have two DVB-T Dvico cards, and with all the new shows
starting here in Aus, the wife had to decide what she was going to record.
So magically there has been some money allocated to get 3 tuners up and
running.

My suggestion is setup your system to start recording here shows for her.
then tell her you have done it. Once she gets use to this, you have got
heaps of leverage. BUT be warned once its running she will not let it "be
upgraded" or "played" with. ;-)

Now life is good.

It gets better when the wife says "what will it take for Myth to be able to
hold all my [insert stupid video collection names here] Like mine did last
night. all i did was say "Sure i can do that Honey, i think i have a way to
do it nice and cheap (not)...... Hmmm more space
