[mythtv-users] Fwd: LVM Problem -- Please Help

Yes, I re-attached it the same way.  It is a SATA drive, not SCSI, but I guess linux sees SATA drives as different from IDE and labels them with sda, sdb, etc.  I have no SCSI devices and no other SATA drives in the box.  Just two other IDE hard drives.

the SCSI IS set by pin jumpers on the drive. Also is the SCSI chain

/dev/sda normally refers to the first SCSI ID postion on the first SCSI
controller.

Can you get output from fdisk -l /dev/sda?

Try other SCSI devices to see if they are seen correctly; i.e.
/dev/sdb,/dev/sdc etc.
