Yeah, if you're going to primarily be watching HDTV broadcasts, bigger 
TV's make sense (especially when you consider the THX viewing angle 
requirements--they want very big screens or very close people).  Since 
anything more than an SDTV costs enough money that I would want to get 
many years of use from it, I figure I should buy with the assumption 
that (eventually) I'll be watching only HDTV broadcasts on it.  I'll 
"suffer" with the low-quality SDTV on a big screen so that I don't have 
to buy a bigger TV in a few years when all my TV is HDTV.  ;)

BTW, I apologize for making you want a bigger TV.  That really wasn't my 
original intention.  I was really more concerned about making a comment 
for anyone else reading the thread that source should be factored into 
the recommended-screen-size decision.  Hope you're happy with whatever 
TV you end up buying--and that you don't blame me for making you waste 
money on it.  :)
