from your host, on the command line try:

  vlc /mnt/store//1450_20051008180000_20051008190500.nuv --sout  
'#transcode{vcodec=DIV3,fps=24,vb=256,scale=. 
5,acodec=mp3,ab=32,channels=2,aspect=1.33}:std 
{access=http,mux=asf,url=:8001}' --aspect-ratio=4:3

I found this to work better for me, but I haven't hacked the  
mythstreamtv web controls just yet.  Right now I just log in and run  
from the command line.
