OK, thanks. It bears more investigation on my end, then.
I've a oldish Nokia 7210, which I believe is WAP-only. I *think*
Apache can do something clever with WAP requests, and can convert HTML
to WAP automatically*, so maybe that's getting involved, although I
suspect I /am/ getting WAP not HTML.
I'll run up ethereal to monitor the transfer and take it from there.
* - my personal website, which I've recently relocated, used to give
'unknown response' via my mobile. On the new server, without me doing
anything, I now seem to get an edited-down (all images & formatting
dropped) version.
