Correct, you can only use one input at a time on those cards.

Lots of cards have multiple inputs, very few let you actually use them
simultaneously though. The Hauppauge WinTV PVR-500MCE cards do let you use
more than one input simultaneously though. They are more or less two PVR-150
cards on one PCI board. There are two tuners, fed by a shared coax input,
then svideo and composite inputs. With some extra headers, you can add a
second svideo and composite input.
