[mythtv-users] Tuner not changing channel

I had this problem as well.  Turned out that in my /var/log/messages I
found that ivtv was not recognizing my tuner type.  From
/var/log/messages:

Jan 25 17:38:55 gonzo kernel: tuner: tuner type not set

After some searching I found someone recommending adding this to modprobe.conf:
alias tveeprom              tveeprom-ivtv

I tried that to no avail, until I somehow figured out I was missing a
package from apt-get.   In Synaptic, the package was simply named
"ivtv" and the Installed Version is
"1:0.1.10-49.1_pre2_ck100zz.rhfc3.at".

Anyway, it's all voodoo to me, but it works now.
