That's where my worry would be, especially doing writes to both arrays at
once. Look foraward to seing the results.

SATA is the way forward even if just from a cabling point of view. If I was
starting over I'd go for SATA but I just bought 5 160Gb PATA drives so I
can't really afford to switch at the moment. The controller looks great 8
SATA connections on one card. If it does work on regular PCI then it would
certainly be worth investigate.
