You'd be surprised. I was in a magazine about a month ago, and
was contacted by the RIAA within a week of the article appearing.
The lawyers demanded to see evidence of my "claimed" 2,000 CDs.
I've spent the last month and more than a few dollars in legal fees
defending every single bit of music I own. Fortunately, I've
been able to prove ownership of every track of music on my
computer.
It has not been a fun experience, and I hope you don't have to
go through the same thing. Although it sounds like you deserve
to.

Wow, its "NOT" legal? Pretty stong language, my friend. No TV
company is going to care about 2 of nerds sharing TV recordings at
25kb/s upload =) Plus if you are running the share over an encrypted
VPN how are they gonna know, anyway?
I just calculated I could be sued for $433,350,000 for my music
collection alone. $9,450,000 for my application collection. At least
$10,500,000 for my CD image collection. "Legality" is overblown.
