Hi,

I have found that bad or incorrectly set (in the bios) memory often
causes hardware lockups.

Since you added some load on your machine by adding (and using) a
second tuner, your memory usage may have increased to the point were
your affected memory is used.

May I suggest you run one or two passes of memtest: http://www.memtest.org/

But, you could simply have a different problem. :)
