[mythtv-users] Can I get Digital EPG with PVR250

Hi
I just built a mythtv system with a hauppage PVR250 and it works quite
good except that I do not have the Program Guide working.
 
My country is not listed on XMLTV, I filled up the Channel Data by
hand and it works good enough.
 
I am served by a cable company that moved to digital transmision of
content (DTV? I do not know) and they changed my cable box. The cable
box has a bypass output and I am feeding the MythTv Box from that
bypass output. It can get all the non-encrypted channels by itself and
that is fine with me (meaning no IR blaster going towards the digital
box)..
 
I noticed that the cable box has an electronics program guide (EPG).
My question is, how can I tap the EPG stream to obtain this info and
introduce it on the MythTV box?
  
I read that some of the information goes into the vbi period, and I
even saw a program that captures EPG in PAL in Europe (nexTView).  My
system is NTSC-M, us-cable.
 

Could somebody guide me here? Do I need a DVB capture card to
accomplish this? Can I tap the DVB card off the bypass output or am I
going to have to put a signal splitter at the digital cable input?
 
I look forward to be able to use only the PVR 250.
