[mythtv-users] Strange timer phenomenon

Hi,

I have now kind of fixed the problem with the playback of livetv
falling behind real time, by recompiling a new kernel and the cvs
version of mythtv, I'm not entirely sure which one fixed it.

However, I now have another problem:

Although the video now doesn't fall behind in time, the timer showing
where you are in relation to the live feed still does. This presents
a problem when try to rewind live tv as it rewinds from the position
it thinks that it's at rather than the real time that it actually is.
I'm sorry I cannot explain that better, so I shall give an example.

I have been watching TV for 1 hour, the video I am currently watching
is real time, however the timer thinks I am at -5mins as it is running
slow. I try and rewind to something 1 minute ago and I end up at
something 6 minutes ago.

I hope that helps.

The hardware that I am using is:
2100+ Athlox XP
512Mb RAM
GeForce4 128mb
Hauppauge WinTV Nova USB
On-Board CMI 8338 Soundcard (VIA 266a chipset)

MythTV 0.16.20041115-1
DVB-Kernel drivers supplied with standard 2.6.9 kernel.

Please could anybody who could vaguely hazard a guess as to why this
happens I would be most grateful. If nobody can, then I am sad to say
I will be forced to return to windows, and showshifter, which is a
vastly inferior program, but has the ability to play live tv properly.

Thanks,

Paul
