[mythtv-users] transcoding HDTV files

Hola,

Is anyone able to transcode HDTV .nuv files? If you are having success, 
would you mind posting your shell script?

I've had some "success" but I had to patch one of mplayer's libraries 
before I could use mencoder. Now, I'm searching for the right 
incantation for generating clean looking, small size DiVX files.

I just recently, ie yesterday, got my MythTV computer put back together 
running Fedora 2 and nVidia drivers and the 2.6.6 driver from 
pchdtv.com. It's an Athlon 3000 machine and I still get stuttering when 
the OSD fades away while watching live TV.
