The two sources part is correct. If you have the same callsign
(I've already read the end of your message ;-) on the same channel
number, the EPG should now only show the listings once even though
there is more than one input with that channel.

If the "callsign" field matches, it can record an "ESPN" show
on ch 17 of source 1 or "ESPN" on ch 17 of source 2. If you
don't specify an input or channel priority, the lowest available
input id wins.

I have KVBC on ch 3 analog and ch 123 for digital so both listings
show up. However, if I choose a title from either channel, the
show will record on any KVBC and will prefer digital ch 123 if
it is available.

For 0.15 you now want the callsigns to match so that they can be
matched up for the EPG and to allow the scheduler to choose.
