I briefly had the same confusion. Most directions I found assumed installing
cvs from RPMs. I don't, I actually _use_ cvs and build from source. So all
the references to mythtvsetup being in a separate RPM file are confusing,
it's easy to mistakenly infer that it's no longer in the cvs tree.

It's in cvs, just not with the name mythtvsetup. It's named just plain 'setup'
and no longer gets installed as mythtvsetup by the install script. I didn't
bother installing mine, I just ran it directly from the setup directory since
I build on my myth box.

You don't need the grabber, nor XMLTV at all now. DataDirect shows up in setup
as an additional listing source and is really very slick to configure.

I followed the instructions to copy the channel table for preserving the
callsign icons and everything went very smoothly. One thing that I didn't see
mentioned in any walkthrough was the need to reset the channel inputs for
each video source. It should be an obvious step after recreating a video
source, but I forgot it because I was too closely following the howto
walkthrough. It was easily remedied once I saw the errors from mythbackend.
