It should be easier and more efficient to setup one non-isolated IR blaster
if cable boxes are close to each other. To best of my knowledge it should be
possible to setup nearly any box to accept different IR codes/frequencies so
they won't conflict with each other in same room. If you do that, your only
worries to teach or find those codes for LIRC and/or your IR blaster.
