This was all hashed out when word of the system came out a month or so
ago on the list.  No, they haven't really modified the code (they added
some auto-update and grabber stuff), yes the source code is available on
their CD (which they don't have to do, it only needs to be available
"upon request").  No, it's not advertised as such, and no they're not
required to do so.  They're completely in compliance with the GPL, and
at least one person from the company is on the mythtv list, and has been
quite friendly.
