I know, I have been thinking about rewriting the buffering, maybe use a file
with read ahead.
That shoud take care of the problem with networks with large delays

Didn't think about that.
So maybe a new configuration option so you can choose not to use the ip and
port from the database and instead specify it manualy in the config program
shoud help.
