[mythtv-users] ivtv firmware 2.02 or 1.9 ?

Good day, just added myself to the list recently as I am working on
getting mythtv running. I am following Jarod's fedora how-to.

I have noticed that a couple of packages referenced in the how to have
been upgraded to never versions, notably the kernel upgrade. The IVTV
firmware is another package that appears to be upgraded but I am
wondering if with a Aver M179 that I should use the 2.20 firmware or
should I go with the 1.9 release that is listed on sourceforge?
According to the IVTV page on sourceforge 2.x drivers are extremely
unstable and will crash my system.

Is the 2.20 firmware that is on the fu-berlin.de page stable and do they
have support for the M-179 sound already built into them or do I need to
patch it for sound.

Just for reference my setup is 

Dell Dimension p3 1.1ghz
256Mb ram
ATI 128 rage pro (oem)
SB Live value
Aver m179
Fresh install of Fedora core 1

I am planning on getting a Matrox MX400 for my TV out but for now I
would just like to be able to watch TV on the monitor itself.
