I made the fifodirs, but I tried the first two
commands (the mythtranscode and audio command lines)
in two separate terminal windows, and they just sat
there and didn't seem to be doing anything--at least
they weren't providing any feedback like nuvexport
does with the frame counter.
Do I need to run all four at once in four terminal
windows? It's as if they were waiting for something
else to happen.
I confirmed that lilo rewrote my boot sector: didn't
seem to help. Not sure I'm having the same problem as
Timothy--mine is aborting, not locking up or rebooting
my system. But I may try with that additional boot
option.
I installed screen but need to read more on how to use
it... thanks for the tip on that one.
Thanks for the assistance. I'll try to get it going
some more: I really do like the results nuvexport
gives me when it gets all the way through.
