I have just successfully got a Radeon 9200S working with the TV-OUT. I
used XFree86 4.4.0, then took the Gatos tv_output code (4.3 version) and
merged it into the Gatos 4.4.0 CVS version. After some fiddling I got
it to work very nicely, producing PAL 50 Hz interlaced output at 800x600.
I went this route because XFree86 4.3 did not support the 9200, and the
Gatos 4.4.0 code did not support TV out.
I'll be putting the patched stuff up on a web site in the next day or
so (just got it working last night). I expect it will work with the 7500,
but then the existing Gatos tv_output branch with XFree86 4.3 should
also work, since that chipset is supported by 4.3.
It's a huge improvement from the nv driver I was using on a Geforce
(because nVidia still don't support interlaced output). Very smooth
video and much reduced CPU time.
Cheers, Clyde
