Hi,
I still try to get some pictures out of my PVR 350 and have some
problems with it. After I checked that the hardware _seems_ to work
fine (installed Windows, installed Drivers, checked and at least got
some still pictures in good quality), I guess my problem is
somewhere in the structure of the database.
I started directly with a cvs-version of MythTV. I installed the
database, tried to use tv_grab_de (or better: a slightly modified
version) to install the channels. At least _something_ was in the
database which called itself Channel with id and Number and xmltv-ID
(like, 3Sat, Channel E5). So I thought I could be happy - but I got
no picture.
Okay, tried to find more, why this doesn't work. The first thing was
that I can not give a rank to the channels - everytime I tried that
it was reset to "0" and the CLI says that in the database there is
no rankid.
Second is that there is no frequency "installed". Since I already
told him that I use europe-west, is this necessary or is there
somewhere a conversion between channelID (like E5 or S12) to
Frequency on the cable?
In the meantime I tried the Debian-Packages of MythTV (yes I moved
the old database away and made a "make uninstall" of the
cvs-version) and there is a good tv_grab_de and it gets all the
lovely channels. What I am curious is: do I have to enter the
frequency there or "just" the ChannelNumber? at least I can see that
these data get fed into the database, but maybe with wrong data...
So, what is needed to get a picture? Channelnumber? Frequency? And
is there a way to "directly" enter the ID or Frequency to check
wether the tuner is giving out a good picture? Currently I still see
only static..
Ciao, Hanno
