[mythtv-users] ALSA Mixer not working

I got to the install ALSA portion of installing
FC1 version of MythTV.  I am running a P4,
2.4GHz, with a C-Media soundcard (CMI8738 chipset)
Any help is much appreciated.
gnome-alsamixer is not working for me.  I ran
alsaconf and got following (Note the
save_state:1061 line stating no card found):

Loading driver...
/usr/sbin/alsaconf: line 619: rcalsasound:
command not found
Setting default volumes...
Saving the mixer setup used for this in
/etc/asound.state.
/usr/sbin/alsactl: save_state:1061: No soundcards
found...

 Now ALSA is ready to use.
 For adjustment of volumes, use your favorite mixer.
