Hi List,

I've now almost succeeded in setting up a working MythTV box. And it's
looking pretty promising, yay ;) But I'm having a strange problem with
the directfb tv-out. First, I'll just recap my setup: MythTV, both 0.14
and cvs tried, a DVB-C card and a Matrox G400 videocard. I'd like to use
the QT/E+DFB approach, but the directfb's causing problems. The thing
is, when I try to watch tv, I get some left overs of the qt/e menu on
the tv plus a small window, a bit like the picture-in-picture
functionality, on the left upper corner of the tv, showing the selected
channel. Some ascii art below:

 --------------------------------------------
 | |
 | ________ |
 | | | |
 | | TVhere | |
 | |________| |
 | |
 | |
 | |
 | |
 | |
 --------------------------------------------

Has anybody else seen this kind of a problem? The directfb setup should
be working, since at least mplayer and freevo work on the directfb
output using the same setup. Also, I can watch tv with the dvb-c card,
using mplayer with dfb output, so I'd think that the dvb setup is also
working. Also, MythTV, compiled for X output is working fine, so the
setup of the frontend and dvb-c card should also be alright. So it
really seems to me, that something weird is going on with mythtv
directfb output. The only entry in /etc/directfbrc is:
"matrox-tv-standard=pal"

Does anybody have an idea, what could be causing this? Is there some way
to debug the problem? Any help greatly appreciated.

TIA, juhis
