I haven't updated that other page in some time, and the longer its 
been, the more outdated its getting.

The latest ivtv kmdls depend on an ivtv-firmware rpm being installed. 
Instructions for it are in the newer guide version on my web site. Its 
more centered on Fedora Core than Red Hat Linux 9 now, but pretty much 
everything applies to 9 still.
