Hello Everyone-

I am having a tough time getting IVTV-KMDL installed on my RH9 system.
I am running an Athlon XP processor.

I am trying to follow the instructions found here,
http://pvrhw.goldfish.org/tiki-page.php?pageName=rh9pvr250

Also note that I ran:

# wget
http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/pvr250/pvr250_17_21226.exe
# /usr/lib/ivtv/ivtvfwextract.pl pvr250_17_21226.exe

Both of the above were sucessful, but I still get the firmware
complaint and the Athlon message from APT.

Am I better off installing IVTV from source? I would be happy to try
that if it would work better.

Here is what happens,

[root at jupiter admin]# uname -a
Linux jupiter 2.4.20-28_36.rh9.at #1 Mon Jan 5 23:32:30 EST 2004 i686
athlon i386 GNU/Linux
[root at jupiter admin]# export KERNEL=`uname -r`
        [root at jupiter admin]# apt-get install ivtv-kmdl-$KERNEL

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely
that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  ivtv-kmdl-2.4.20-28_36.rh9.at: Depends: ivtv-firmware (>= 17_21288)
but it is not installable
                                 Depends: strictdep-kernel-athlon (=
2.4.20-28_36.rh9.at)

Thanks,

Chris
