Hello Matt,

Thanks for replying. I'm glad to hear that mythtv will work with either driver.

I guess the thing that confuses me is that I thought that the Via binary will 
only run against the stock kernels that it was compiled against, namely the 
standard kernel in the appropriate redhat, mandrake, suse, etc. distribution
according to the descriptions on http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=325#cle266

Is this simply not true? Did I make that up? Or am I misunderstanding a more
subtle kernel version issue?
