Scott,

after looking at the README.vbi in the doc directory for the ivtv driver
I noticed some extra steps are required to activate th CC.

First, stop LiveTV, then

ivtvctl -w wss,cc -x 1

and

ivtvctl -b wss,cc
(the doc says -B, but it is actually -b since -B do not accept any
arguments and is used to display the state)

At this point, switch on the LiveTV. I got some CC, but it is buggy and
do not match what it is supposed to display. So, since I am using
ck100b, it may be already fixed in some later version. I will upgrade
and see if it is working. There is some other steps I tried, but it
screws up things and I no longer have any image, but only sound.

So, seems there is some hope to have a working system not too far
away...
